Course and Speed

The race runs on a 6 mile offshore course that cuts through the harbor waters of Key West. On the smoother stretches, boats reach incredible speeds over 140 mph. It is the kind of spectacle that shakes the air and gets your heart racing.

Points, Classes, and Strategy

Boats compete in several classes such as Bracket, Stock, Super Cat, Class 1, Extreme, and Super V.

  • The first two races award standard points

  • The final Sunday race awards double points, making it the most intense and decisive day of the event

  • Many teams play it safe early in the week and go all out on Sunday for the championship title

Where to Watch

  • The Racing Village at Truman Waterfront Park is the heart of the action

  • You can stream online so even if you aren't in Key West you can still be part of the action!
