How the Races Work
Event Dates and Format
The weeklong event runs November 2 through 9, 2025.
The main race days to mark are:

Wednesday, November 5 (Race Day 1)

There are no races on Thursday, which makes it a great day to explore the island and enjoy some of the best homes Key West has to offer.
Course and Speed
The race runs on a 6 mile offshore course that cuts through the harbor waters of Key West. On the smoother stretches, boats reach incredible speeds over 140 mph. It is the kind of spectacle that shakes the air and gets your heart racing.
Points, Classes, and Strategy
Boats compete in several classes such as Bracket, Stock, Super Cat, Class 1, Extreme, and Super V.

The final Sunday race awards double points, making it the most intense and decisive day of the event

Many teams play it safe early in the week and go all out on Sunday for the championship title
